Electronic Document Professional (EDP) Evaluation Fee
Evaluation Fee: $300 USD (one-time, non-refundable)
The EDP Evaluation Fee is paid after an applicant has been approved as an EDP Candidate and is ready to pursue certification through either the Portfolio Evaluation or Online Certification Examination path.
Payment of this fee initiates the formal evaluation phase of the Electronic Document Professional (EDP) Certification Program.
Before You Continue
You should only pay this fee if:
- Your EDP Application has been approved
- You have been recognized as an EDP Candidate
- You are prepared to begin either the Portfolio Evaluation or Online Certification Examination process
Certification Path Options
Option 1: Portfolio Evaluation
Candidates pursuing the Portfolio Evaluation path will submit:
- Three work examples demonstrating professional experience and expertise
- Work Example Summary Forms
- Skills Matrix documentation
- Supporting materials required by the EDP Commission
Portfolio requirements are detailed within the EDP Certification Handbook.
Option 2: Online Certification Examination
Candidates pursuing the Online Certification Examination path will:
- Receive instructions for accessing the examination platform
- Complete a 125-question examination
- Complete the examination within a two-hour time limit
- Demonstrate competency across the EDP Body of Knowledge
Additional examination instructions will be provided following payment confirmation.
What Happens Next?
After payment is received:
Portfolio Candidates
- Receive portfolio submission instructions
- Complete and submit portfolio materials
- Portfolio assigned for evaluation by the EDP Commission
Examination Candidates
- Receive examination registration instructions
- Schedule and complete the online certification examination
- Examination results reviewed by the EDP Commission
Certification Decision
Certification is awarded only after successful completion of the selected evaluation path and final approval by the EDP Commission.
Successful candidates will be recognized as:
Electronic Document Professional (EDP)
and may use the EDP designation in accordance with program policies.
